Hiii Power
I was recently sent a link to blog post about Black Hippy and their concept 'Hiii Power'. I have been thinking about the arguments presented in that blog, so i thought i would write my thoughts down.
As usual i will excuse myself before i start and say this could turn out to be a long ramble as things pop into my mind but i will try to keep it as coherent as possible lol
I will say, so far i absolutely love Kendrick Lamar and Ab-soul's music. I find them refreshing and especially love the concept of Hii Power and i believe they are bringing a profound, necessary truth and realness to hip hop.
Anyway...
I think the writer of the blog i read meant well and wanted to write something that ensured people kept their eyes open to what they are ingesting whilst watching and listening to certain music. Something which i applaud and believe in wholeheartedly, as there are a lot of unconsciously corrupting media out there.
However, because more and more people are becoming aware of some of the sinister things presented to us in our everyday lives and believe they know how to spot them with what i like to call their 'spot the Illuminati starter kit', some real stuff can get lost and misinterpreted in the process. I believe this is due to that very disinformation machine that they are trying to protect themselves from.
Given the amount of information around about the Illuminati and the occult, i can understand why people may come to the conclusions the blogger did. The reason the blog bothered me a little was not because they were claiming Black Hippy were possibly Illuminati (because for all i know they could be but doubt it) but because of the biased and limited knowledge of some the things they were using as 'evidence' to support most of their claims and assertions.
Firstly the blogger discusses Kendrick Lamar and the fact that he alludes to no longer believing in religion using a quote from his song e.g.
The blogger then goes on to assert the following:
"the song shows that Kendrick has many doubts in God. As a result of his distorted faith, it looks like Kendrick's once admired love for righteousness has turned into a dualistic mindset of good and evil for him, a philosophy that is bred for the occult."
This may seem like a reasonable conclusion and statement to make to some but just because someone does not conform to religion does not mean this person does not believe or have a healthy relationship with 'god', does not love righteousness and it most certainly does not mean you are erring towards evil! It could in fact mean that person is in search of righteousness. Anyway...What Kendrick is actually saying is that he never believed in religion but at one point looked there for solace. My frustration here is blogger has taken his/her own beliefs to assert this as though it is fact that if you don't believe in or have doubt religion, you are not a good person and don't believe in god.
I, like Kendrick went to church as a child but the more i came to know about Christianity, other religions, i felt that they had changed from their original state (i mean the bible has a copy right...come on) and had become about control and blind faith; rather than an open eyed system of knowledge of god, yourself and a real tangible concept of how the two may unite. I could go on for ages on this topic but that's another blog, so back to the blog...
The blogger then goes on to discuss Kendrick's album cover for 'Overly Dedicated' suggesting that the woman on the photo is oddly positioned and that because of the things he goes on to state throughout the whole blog (which i will address) then the image must be Illuminati (lol).
Kendrick shows through his lyrics that he is very well thought out, loves metaphor, would like to provoke thought, does not mind controversy and says it 'as it is' whether it be good or bad...does that make him Illuminati?
I will admit my ignorance on this one as i do not know for certain what the pose the woman is sitting in represents but it does not appear that the blogger does either (lol) and i am pretty sure Kendrick Lamar wanted people to debate over it, after all art is to be interpreted.
The pose to me looks like a meditative one (which many might view as an occult practice, i dont), which can be viewed in a few ways...if you are overly dedicated to something, you are very focused on that thing...meditation. He could be addressing both over dedication and "OD'ing" at once, hence the mind blown by genius. It could also address moderation and the fact that over dedication to something can create genius but can also consume you...It could me none of that but who knows? To say it is good or bad without knowledge is pointless.
The blogger also draws attention to the pictures behind the seated woman, all of whom have been said to have "OD'd" and goes straight back into Illuminati mode with no further analysis; to suggest that all those pictured have been claimed to have been Illuminati sacrifices.
How many huge artists such as those pictured or any other alive or passed, has not been accused of or been put in an Illuminati associated theory? I genuinely cant think of any!
The fact that all of these people were considered genius, were very dedicated to their craft and that they all "OD'd" on drugs is very pertinent to the album title was not considered! Could it just not be a witty play on words and images as artists do?
Now don't get me wrong...i am not dismissing the notion of an 'Illuminati' (or whatever you wanna call the) hand in the music industry, etc and in reality i am not even dismissing the fact that there is a possibility that there could be something sinister behind this, i am just trying to put some balance to the argument because you cant just willy nilly brand everyone an agent of the Illuminati for the use of metaphor and symbolism with no real understanding of what you are seeing or hearing.
The blogger then directs our attention to the fact that Kendrick used a Dash Snow clip at the beginning of his song and is a Dash Snow fan. On the clip posted by the blogger Kendrick clearly states that he is fan of Dash because of the limitless, 'f**k the rules' approach Dash takes to his art, appreciates him as a genius and wanted to approach his music in the same way. Kinda clear to me...why does it have to be more than that?
The blogger then goes on to give reasons why Dash Snow was Illuminati (which he may or may not have been), which in my opinion does not have a reflection on Kendrick. I think Michael Jackson and R. Kelly are musical genius' and have inspired me and many others in their own art...does that make us all suspected pedophiles? (Sorry, just making a point lol)
The blogger then goes on to look at section.80 and again starts quoting god and devil references within the lyrics of songs and quotes from the bible about abandoning faith blah blah blah which i wont pull apart because i think you get my drift. All i will say on them is that nothing said in the quotes used says Illuminati or devil worshiper, to me they are the lyrics of a very talented group of rappers who are articulating their surroundings(very well might i add) and the thoughts and feelings of young black men, who were battling with right from wrong (as we all do), whilst dealing with the things life threw at them growing up in Compton. Simples *shrugs*
Hiii Power
The blogger then attempts to get an understanding of the Hiii Power concept that was coined by Black hippy. He starts with a quote from Kendrick who explains Hiii Power:
Referring to the number 3 flashed on the video and next to the eye of Heru...please note that the 3rd faculty on the above diagram corresponds to omnipotance, spirtiual power, chants and sounds...basically they are alluding to limitless power through rapping and music.
"BA MAN
The fundamental ideas that inform this type of Man come directly From God. These
ideas deal predominantly with the laws and truths that govern the world and Man’s
life on all planes of existence. The Ba man’s consciousness resides in the Ba subdivision of the Spirit with the Divine Faculties.
AB MAN
The fundamental ideas that inform this type of Man’s consciousness come from the
higher mind, which is responsible for abstract thinking. Abstract thinking is theability to discern the underlying principles that unite things that are outwardlydifferent but inwardly (abstractly) the same. The Ab man consciousness resides int he Ab subdivision of the Spirit with the Moral Faculties.
SAHU MAN
This type of Man is primarily informed by the lower mind and the Lifeforce. She islacking in everything that is true of the other two higher men, as well as, otherdetractions.Life at this level is dominated by the Lifeforce. Given that the role of the Life force is to animate the physical body, it is also known as the animal spirit. It isthe source of the instincts and sensuality, and the energy counterpart of theemotions that mislead the life of Man at this level. This is why people who are dominated by self-destructive sensuality-indulgence in drugs, ignorant diets, irresponsible sex, and addiction to pleasure of all types, and so on.Those in the Sahu stage of development are limited to processing the external orconcrete aspects of reality. This is the source of his materialism and sin.The Sahu man consciousness resides in the Sahu, Khabit, and Khab subdivisions ofthe Spirit with the Mental, Emotional, and Physical Faculties.[1]
Amen, Nefer Un Ra, Metu Neter Vol. 1 , 1994"
Notice the AB MAN...this is where Ab Soul got his name. He see's himself to be a man living who has progressed to the Moral division of the above tree of life which corresponds to righteousness, virtue, divine law, strong will, abstract intellect, etc (getting closer to god) and wants to bring everyone with him to that place of 'Hiii Power'. A man that names himself as a man of spiritual morality Also notice that Heru (Horus- Will power) sits in the center of the Ab man division.
The left and right eye have significance too, like the swastka when inverted they can have opposing meanings and together they represent no different a concept than the ying/yang symbol...this is the right eye i.e. Horus (sun/son, sunrise, light), not the left eye Set (satan, sun set/son set, dark side).
Also notice the 3 i's in Hiii Power, when he chants "you've got 3 eyes, 3 eyes 3 eyes" he is talking about your 3rd eye, the pineal gland. Is it bad to want to become a better and higher spiritual being, i.e. get to know yourself and your likeness/get closer to 'god' and put it in his music? "Aint nothing wrong with a righteous man" This man is DEEP lol
Just because someone says a symbol is 'evil' does not make it so, everything depends on the intent behind it and unless i see (with any 3 of my eyes lol) real evidence that someone or something is not righteous, i wont dismiss it.
Just imagine this blogger writes about Illuminati (a group of people ruling the world) and yet says the fact that Black hippy are calling for revolution then they are Illuminati! So we are supposed to all sit here blog and conform? Oh okay.
Also the fact that Kendrick says build our own pyramids and write out own hieroglyphs is Illuminati...oh so the fact that these ancient people built and wrote such profound things all those years ago without hurting anybody is not inspirational no?
Ever notice what religion those we would consider to be good candidates for Illuminati are? Christian...because you can do as you please as long as you repent in the end lol The ancients used a self governing tool (Tree of life), not a society controlling religion. Anyway i digress...
I can't go through every point in the bloggers blog because my blog is already turning into something ridic...but just to make a point he misinterprets simple lyrics:-
As usual i will excuse myself before i start and say this could turn out to be a long ramble as things pop into my mind but i will try to keep it as coherent as possible lol

and this from a person that never believed in religion"
- from the song, "Faith"
The blogger then goes on to assert the following:

Hiii Power
The blogger then attempts to get an understanding of the Hiii Power concept that was coined by Black hippy. He starts with a quote from Kendrick who explains Hiii Power:
"What is Hiii power?
Hiii power is the way we think, the way we live
see it's known today that the human race is nothing
no moral, no standards
what we are about to do is raise the levels of expectations
no you don't have to have a lot of money
you don't have to be rich
but you will be rich in mind and spirit
some say it's as big as a crew, some say it's as big as a gang
Hiii power, we stand for it as if its big as a religion"
In an attempt to further explain Hiii Power he goes on to post the Hiii Power video. He makes no reference to the statement that appears on the video by Kendrick, stating that he Tupac came to him in a dream, etc (as that does not support his claim); he first states that that the number 3 and eye of Heru (Horus)are "very revealing" and goes on to say that this symbol is mainly used by the Illuminati and other occult. The blogger seems aware that the symbol originates in Egypt (Kemet) but that's where his knowledge of the whole matter starts to show that it is lacking and plummets.
Symbols, words, anything in this world can be used for good and for bad depending on the will and intent of the person/people using them. Take the swastika for example...it was a (right facing0 powerful symbol used in Hinduism to evoke "shakti" (sacred force i.e. a connection with god through meditation). The Nazi's took this symbol inverted it (left facing), committed genocide, went to war and now most people see it as nothing more than an evil symbol, only associated with Hilter.
The point i am making is that from what i can tell Ab-soul and Kendrick's use of the symbols they are using are positive ones.
Ab soul's name alone says a lot to me, he is obviously aware of the tree of life (as he has it pictured on his album cover) and mentions Ancient Egyptians and Sumarians regularly, and has studied the practices of these ancient people. The Tree of Life was not designed for anything but good...it is a tool for understanding god, the world around us and how it relates to us i.e our relationship with the divine.

I can't go through every point in the bloggers blog because my blog is already turning into something ridic...but just to make a point he misinterprets simple lyrics:-
"prayers not close to me,
as I bow down to take a knee,
Hell goes as far as the eye can see
hoodies and weaponry
naive to being free"
The blogger says
"Here, Schoolboy Q is stating that he is losing interest in praying to God for protection, and his only way of survival seems to be through rebellion and violence."
*Shake my damn head* obviously School boy q is describing a state of mind and way of life of many...he is calling a lifestyle of hoodies and weaponry HELL, not glorifying it and also drawing attention to a mentality "Naive to being free, locked up through chasing keys". He is describing that way of life as a godless one and hell to be in, not flashing cash and saying look what i got from sellin keys on the corner like many rappers do. What i get from this song is a 'this aint no life to live' sort message (e.g, would rather contemplate suicide than stay in the life i was living or a life many young men aspire to), which is what a lot of young men growing up need to hear...not "i get money" or "I'm a mother fucking hustler/p.i.m.p". This music is about provoking thought, its art and so it reflects reality...it aint Disney.
If you look at most of the bloggers points, they are just a collection of prejudices, misinterpretations and weak affiliations to other things and people put together so it seems that he could have a point but if not one of the points make real sense when looked at closely, then the whole case crumbles and i feel it does. In some cases it seems that he purposefully takes things out of context just to make his point.
In my mind not one of the points made on the blog were made with any real evidence but because of the way its been put together... it could be a convincing story, so by the time you get to the bit about Alori Joh and it possibly being a sacrifice...you are convinced. Alori Joh died a sad death and i think it low to pull her into this on such weak evidence. (RIP Alori Joh)
Feel free to comment.
Thank you for your point i saw his blog and was thinking the entire time "is he serious?", i mean this guy was talking as if he was holy and never had doubts in God. I am a woman, a God believer and a truth seeker. I do listen to Q, Ab-soul (favorite) and kdot, and all for members combine ( black hippy).I feel like people are so blind and comfortable with being lied to, that anybody that wants to shake them up so they can open their pineal gland (3rd eye) for them to see what is really going on in this mad world. They get scared and simply put those intelligent people in the same package as the ennemy. Theyre simply afraid of revolution and chose to stay asleep.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteI love this blogggggg. THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteHiii Power!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this blog post that shows both factions of the argument, that other blog was VERY BIAS. I was thinking exactly everything you said in here.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading and commenting. Glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteIn Egyptian Mythology Horus and Set were both sons of Ra, the Sun God. Horus was to show the good (i.e. sunrise, light, love) and Set was to show the bad (i.e. darkness, hate, sunset). The two eyes (Right eye being Horus and left eye being Set) were the eyes of Ra, who was to show balance between the two. I'm a Christian, but the Egyptians had good intentions with this symbol and it is not at all affiliated with the devil. I think the author of that blog was trying to show that all rappers are Illuminati, and he was refusing to look at it from and other angle than his own. School Boy Q, Kendrick Lamar, and Ab Soul are all against Illuminati, thus forming Hiiipower, which is a revolution against everything Illuminati stands for.
ReplyDeleteWhen Kendrick says, "Build your own pyramids and write your own hieroglyphs," he means a few things. By, "Build your own pyramids," he means don't (as the Illuminati did with their symbol) take something that is meant for good and turn it into something bad. By, "Write your own hieroglyphs," he means be yourself, and don't conform to what people want you to. He only had good intentions about this. Kendrick is a Christian, showing that from his song, "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst." That song is about being devoted, not only to God but also to your friends. When Jay-Z did an interview with him for a YouTube video, Kendrick explained that when one of his best friends realized that he was in too deep, and that he couldn't get himself out of the hole he had dug for himself, he knew he was gonna die, so he told Kendrick, "If I die before your album drops, promise that you will sing about me." Hence showing why he wrote the first part of that song. The next part, "I'm Dying of Thirst," is explained by the ending of that song, when his mom (I'm guessing) tells him that so many people in the world are 'dying of thirst', and not of physical thirst, but of the Holy Water of God. She goes on to save Kendrick and his brother (again, I'm guessing, it doesn't really go into who they are) and cleanse them of their sins. He's talking, in the second part, about how he needs to strengthen his relationship with God. So the blogger thinks all rappers are Illuminati and they are bad people. Hiiipower proves him wrong.
Indeed, that is exactly the message i was trying to convey, thanks for the comment.
DeleteAhhhh! Thank you for posting this! I just read the other blog (false doctrine) and you're right about a lot. I love TDE,Hiiipower and black hippy!
ReplyDeleteHiiiPower.
ReplyDeleteCool, yeah I was feeling you in this blog. The other block was just a bunch of fear mongering.
ReplyDeleteI love this! you clearly did your research
