Authentic conversations

I enjoy delving into someone else’s mind and thoughts. To hear how they perceive the world and where they see themselves in it. To hear what they value and why is to be given a peice of what makes them who they are bit by bit. 

There is sometimes intimacy in the exchange of an idea or thought; a gift in learning, a kindness in teaching and a warmth in togetherness, however brief the interaction. Even if merely to etch away at a preconceived idea about who each person is, there is mutual growth. 

I enjoy the subtle thrill of the unexpected, to get a glimpse at a world I might not otherwise see and one that might be seen in me.
