He called me a diamond

I thought that’s nice but I’m more like water than a diamond

Diamonds are beautiful, tough and rare

but water…

Water is formless yet able to take any form

So it can wrap it’s self around you and relax you

Water is strong enough to move earth and wear down mountains

Gentle to touch but powerful when necessary

Water can be still and calming yet make enormous waves

Water is beautiful and glistens in an effortless way

Water cleanses

Water is replenishing and necessary.

Water revives and sustains

Water is precious

So call me a diamond, that's fine but call me water...that's divine.
